Castleford Tigers have won the Rugby League Challenge Cup four times - in 1935, 1969, 1970 and 1986. Castleford Tigers hold the record for the most consecutive defeats from the start of a Super League season - 12 in 2004. Castleford Tigers shared the highest score draw in Super League -32 all at St. Helens in 1998. Castleford Tigers shared in the lowest points-scoring game in Super League - a 4-0 defeat at Salford Reds in 1997. Castleford Tigers shared in the only 0-0 draw in the old Division 1, at Wigan on 26 January 1974. Castleford Tigers hold the record for the highest losing score in a Rugby League Challenge Cup semi final - losing 33-27 in the dying seconds to London Broncos in 1999. Aaaaaaaaaargh! Individual Records Arthur Atkinson scored with the longest successful goal kick ever. It was 75 yards from the kicker to the posts (wind assisted!) during Castleford's league victory over St. Helens on 26 October 1929. Sammy Lloyd scored a massive 43 points against the amateur side Millom in a John Player Trophy match on 16 September 1973. He kicked 17 goals and scored 3 tries (then worth 3 points each). John Joyner is the Castleford player with the most Great Britain caps. He played 16 times (twice as a substitute) for his country. Kevin Ward also had 14 starts for Great Britain.
