Phil Pemberton

E-Mail : phillip.pemberton@btcellnet.co.uk

My name is Phil Pemberton and I have been watching Classy Cas since 1968 in the days of big Den and Malcolm Reilly.

I am a season ticket holder and attend many matches away from home. When we are at home I stand in Pie corner on the Princess Street side of the ground with my brother, Tomato and our fat friend Bananaman. Strange names you might think but it is a long story.

We can also be found propping up the bar in the new Glassblower in the centre of Cas and at 99p a bottle for Budweiser, frogs not included, you can see why.

Lisa Longbottom

My name's Lisa Longbottom, I am 18 years of age. Have been a Cas fan for a year now and I love every minute of it.

Since joining the "Barmy Army" I have not just enjoyed matches but I have made many new friends including the players. My favourite player has to be the legendary Dean Sampson not only is he a good player but he is a lovely person.

My favourite game has to be the match on Monday the 3rd of May 1999 where Bradford came to us the final score was a draw at 12-12. The lads played an excellent game they put up a very good fight (I think we would have won if the ref was on our side) but all in all the sun shinning and it was a fab day and everyone enjoyed the day.

I feel Cas is my second home especially since I celebrated my 18 birthday there (Sunday 5th September) plus it was the last game of the season and we were playing Halifax and we won 48-18 the just top it off for me. Thank you Tigers

Mark and Janis Wood

E-Mail : m&j@woodonline.idps.co.uk

Hi, we're Mark and Janis Wood and we've been Cas fans since last June, thanks to our brother-in-law Gavin Mooney, who's already written in to this site.

We were on a long weekend in York last year with Gavin and his wife Susan (Janis's sister), and as well as leading us astray at York Races, Gavin and Susan brought us to Wheldon Road, as it was then, to see the Tigers play Warrington Wolves. What can we say? We were hooked from then on. Perhaps the fact that we won 39-6 helped, of course. As well as the excitement of the game, there was a great atmosphere in the ground, and we found out that rival supporters don't kick lumps out of each other afterwards!

As we live just south of Glasgow, we don't get down to every game, but made a few trips last year, including the play-off games at Headingley and Knowsley Road. This year, we've already been to the Challenge Cup tie against Halifax (tears on the way home) and our next trip will be the London game on 2 April, complete with Cas shirts and Tigerman and JT mascots. See you all there.

E-Mail : gazwilliams2000@yahoo.co.uk

Hello out there Cas fans, my name is Gary Williams & I live in Castleford & I am 20yrs young, I say young because I was born on the 29th of February 1980!!

At the moment I live up in South Shields (Tyne & Wear area) as I am in the Merchant Navy training to be a navigating officer for BP Amaco.

I try to get home as much as possible so that I can get to see the Cas games. I think the atmosphere is really great especially when the weather is good.

My favourite player has to be Dean Sampson, he can change a match hell of a lot when he builds up the confidence levels in the other lads.

If any one would like to contact me for a chat about the matches it would be really good as I don't get to see them often enough.  You can contact me on the e-mail address under my name

I have followed Cas for 5yrs now. I live near Scunthorpe & travel to as many games as possible (depending on work).

Rugby League is not so big round here but I've managed to convert a few mates & one or two come to games now & then.

Simon Bailey

Aged 39 from Exeter in Devon.

I lived in Castleford from childhood until 1982 when I moved to Devon. I was at Wembley in '69,'70, '86 and '92 and remain an avid supporter.

I played rugby league at school and actually played at Wheldon Road in 1972 for my school before a Castleford game.

I always remember standing next to Rob and Kevin Beardmore at Wembley in 1969 and then returning in 1986 to see them both playing for Castleford. Last time I was in Castleford it was great to meet Kevin again almost twenty years on. We played many times against each other at school and had a few memories to swap.

Now that I live in Devon I have actually managed to convert several locals to the 13 a side game and watch whenever possible on SKY. My dad, brother and two nieces still live locally and attend almost all Castleford matches, home and away and keep me informed with detailed match reports every week.

Good luck to the Tigers for this season.

I've been a Cas fan for sometime now. There is nowt better than going down the lane on a Sunday afternoon after a pint in the Early bath (O' Keith's). My favourite player is Danny Orr and my favourite head coach is Stuart Raper. I am a season ticket holder and go to most of the away games if I'm not working.

I've got some hot team news as well. I live in Cas and ET of Cronulla has bought a house not far from me. He will be moving in within 8 months so I would like to bet that he will be wearing the amber of the Tigers next year.

Feel free to E-mail me (sexy lad-17).
