Everyone down to lock lane on the 28th may (8 o'clock start) for the presentation evening, and end of season piss up, smartly dressed coz you will all have to get up on stage, and get proper embarrassed. Late finish, so ask your Mummies and daddies if you can stay out late!! Strictly no sheep allowed.

Look out for the Cas cup final (when it's finally arranged) and all of you get down and give your mates a shout no matter if they play for the panthers or Redhill. I heard a rumour that (20 stone 6 feet 2 inches) Chappie is gonna smash Tommo...will Tommo bottle it?. He's already crapping himself.....

Good look to both sides....

Who is doing what (and to whom) ? Craig Milnthorpe played his first game for the Cas academy last week -.nice one Craig. Glenn Charles and Scooby were spotted training with the Cas scholarship ...about time too

Simon Thompson can now be found pumping iron with the Featherstone rovers academy...he says it's cos Cas lads are too soft for him, but I think its cos he can cadge a free lift with Wanna's dad on training nights.

Wayne Suttcliffe (my hero).at the time of writing this I have an unconfirmed report that Wanna will get his first run out for The Fev academy on Saturday. Never has it been so richly deserved. Good luck from us all Wanna. I for one will be there!!!!!!

If I have missed anyone out then I am truly sorry. It is only that no-one has given me the info. Let me or Tommo know what’s happening and I will get it updated.

Finally :

If you want me be to get all sloppy and sentimental and say what a brilliant bunch of lads you all are, or how every one of you is a credit to your team, and more especially your parents...then you are all dafter than I thought. Remember this as you all walk down life’s weary highway. All Cas lassies wear ankle bracelets, and have got tattoo's somewhere on their bodies, Budweiser gives you the biggest headache on Sunday mornings, Fev will always beat Cas at Fighting. If I could afford it, I would buy you all a medal the size of a dustbin lid Good luck everybody.

Tommo's dad.

Just a quick congrats to Castleford Panthers, and especially Wayne Suttcliffe, on winning the Yorkshire cup on Wednesday night.

Wanna, a Cas Tigers u16s player dominated the game from start to Finish, despite some pretty dubious tackles from the Hunslet team. Wayne was awarded the man of the match trophy, and I have never seen it so deservedly won - Nice one Wanna!!! Especially in front of your new bosses at post office road

Last weeks game against Bradford was cancelled due to bad weather - it will now be played this Saturday (13th) at Airedale High School

The Cas and Ponte Express says - The young Tigers face deadly rivals Bradford Bulls U16s in the first round of the NAS/UWT English Schools' RL play-offs this Saturday at Smawthorne ARLFC. - But I think the venue for Saturdays match will probably be CAS RUGBY UNION GROUND AT WHITWOOD

Facts.

Castleford Tigers U16's have never lost a match at home all season.

Fashion Tip

Stan, the ref on Saturday, was wearing his new shorts.although they looked very smart Stan, they were on the baggy side. And not really the right choice for a blustery day.

Craig Milnthorpe

*Craig Milnthorpe's injury puts him out of the game for about six weeks. This will mean that Craig will miss the Yorkshire Cup Final for Cas.

Panthers against old rivals Hunslet at Post Office Road (the centre of the universe) on Wednesday night. Craig is a young man of great character, both on and off the field, and although I know he will be bitterly disappointed to miss this game,we know he will bounce back as soon as his injury heals.

All the best Craig from all the lads at Cas.

Gripe of the Week

This weeks match was played at the Lock Lane ground, and to say the weather outside was a bit nippy is an understatement. However when God invented rugby league he meant it to be watched from the touchlines and not in some cosy bar behind glass. This is so you can boo the opposition, shout abuse at the ref (and his shorts), but most importantly of all cheer the lads on and shout encouragement. If you are cold then bring a warmer coat and a flask of soup, but get down on that touchline and show them you care....

Questions to the powers that be at Wheldon Road.

(straight answers on this page please.)

Feath have got em, Sheffield have got em, London Bronco's have got em , Bradford have got em, Leeds have got em, etc etc.  Tracksuits  where are our lads ?

Why do Tigers U16 players have to pay to get into matches ? I know they get in to league matches free - It wouldn't hurt to extend this to cup matches...or would it ?

Now that the start of the season is upon us. Why can't the lads play some of their remaining home matches as curtain raisers ?

These lads give 100% for 100% of the time they are on the pitch. They give up hours of their free time every week (and have done so for months).of course they all want to get signed professionally, but at the minute they don't get a red cent.

If People think , "oh its only a bunch of kids playing rugby " they want to look again. This is hard skilful rugby played by young men dedicated to a sport we all love.  Forget which team you support (I,ve had to.I'm a die Hard Cas fan when these lads are playing,(I still wear me Feath hatthough)) I strongly advise your readers to go and watch rugby league played as it should be played. For the love of the game!!!

Please urge your readers to support the lads in these last few vital games.

It will cost them nowt but their time - Here endeth the sermon.
