A great victory in a game that was a lot closer than the scoreline suggests.
So, 1 game to get back in Superleague - This is what we aimed for at the start of the season.
I'll be a lot happier if Whitehaven or Halifax can turn Widnes over next week though :-)

A hard fought first 40 minutes that The Tigers took control of in the second half. Sheffield gave a spirited performance but in the end were no match for Cas.
The next 2 matches are what will see us top the table at the end of the season, or not.
Whatever happens though, it will still all come down to 1 game at Headingley at the end of the season so it doesn't really matter up until then.

Another few weeks since my last update - and more victories for us - Easy enough.
Mmmmmm, 3 games since my last update - 1 Convincing win, 1 close victory and 1 narrow defeat.
2 wins in the league one in atrocious conditions and a narrow defeat to the Vikings in the Semis of the cup mean that I'm really quite happy at this stage of the season.
Sure, we lost for a 2nd time to Widnes, but this time we showed that we can compete with them and come finals day, anything could happen.

Another good victory in a game that Halifax were never in despite their 3 late scores. Always in control although it would be nice if we could stop of end of match lapses

Much better this week - Tatcics were right for the opposition and the bad weather - Now were in the semis of the cup away at Widnes - It will be a good test to see what Terry Matterson and the players learned from the first defeat.

A very poor performance against a very good Widnes team. We were outplayed for most of the game and Widnes took their chances well.
We now know what we are up against this season and the boys know how much they need to improve and where.

We did well to come back from the dead and hopefully this will give us a bit of a fright after so many easy victories so far.

Another victory but it took a little longer to get going than normal. It's unfortunate, but we expect a bit too much these days due to how goot the team is.

Another emphatic win against a team 4th in the league - At this early stage, it makes you wonder why they don't just promote Widnes and ourselves automatically (although I'm sure that Whitehave will have something to say about that!)
BUT SERIOUSLY,
We ***look*** far too good for this league.
Saying that though, it will all come down to the final 80 minutes at Headingley at the end of the season - Lets hope they can keep their good form up all year long.

We got off to a slow start in the first half, not helped from delaying tactics from Rovers but in the 2nd half we easily overpowered them.
A good victory at the start of the season.

A good opening win in the first competitive match of the season albeit a bit scrappy. Things will improve throughout the season but they already look half decent :-)

All the fixtures for the new season are now online.
On the field, things seem to shaping up rather nicely.
A few more signings and things are still moving along really well - All new players added to the player info page.
Well, what a difference a couple of weeks make. We have been making what appears to be quality signings and re-signing our existing players, left, right and centre over the past week or so. Things are looking good for the club for next season.
I have also been updating the site and you can find all the 13 players that we have signed for next season so far via CLUB HOUSE, PLAYER INFO page.
I have also been updating the LINKS page to make sure they all work.
I am currently sorting out the ROAD TRIP section to ensure all directions are accurate and hope to put a google earth file against each one to make it easier to see the grounds (for those of you that use google earth)
